I think we all made cupcakes! Sometimes, you just can't muster the energy to make a layer cake! My favorite red velvet recipe is from Southern Cakes by Nancie McDermott. It is amazing.

Your cupcakes look great! The only other red velvet cake recipe I&#39;ve tried is the Magnolia one; I&#39;ll have to check out Bobby Flay&#39;s. I enjoyed Melissa&#39;s, though.

It wasn&#39;t my favorite either. But then again, my favorite has been the apple orchard crumble (I&#39;m partial to baked apples) so my vote may not count. They do look splendid though :)

=[ that they weren&#39;t a hit. Maybe it was just the recipe. The cinnamon didn&#39;t seem like a traditional addition, but I think that it was good regardless. I made some of mine blue, so I think that the color also affects people&#39;s tastes.
